私がモテないのはどう考えてもお前らが悪い! also known as: Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dō Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!, No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular!, or just Watamote, is a manga (and shortly lived anime) centering around a losergirl Neet known as Tomoko Kuroki (ages 15-18 as of current chapter)

How did I find Watamote?

Well it all happened in around April 2022 because of some random edits and art I saw around instagram... No really I don't even have a cool backstory for the manga that's taken over my life for over 2 years now 0_0 anyways, I saw this cool stuff and thought I'd give the anime a try (as is the story with most watamote fans) from there I absolutely went MAD !!! Tomoko is probably in my top 5 characters of all time ? (rivalling the likes of Pinkie Pie) I see the me I was during peak pandemic times and before, tired, hypersexual and perverted over everything with no awareness of how to manage myself, lonely, and living every day as a trial against my desire to end it all. This is the Tomoko we see in the anime. But I wanted more, I NEEDED more. You can't just show me a blorbo and not elaborate on what happens next !??? Later on I started getting into the manga and fandom after a piece I made of her gained a little bit of traction on my instagram account (an account i had been trying to grow for ages) after this the real fixation kicked in, I would draw her over and over and over again. This was in my first year out of my old school where it felt like I was fighting to be alive at any given time. I did online and I was free to draw and create as much as I wanted.
